Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG,’ From ‘RRR’ Producer DVV Entertainment, Sets Release Date – Global Bulletin

Telugu-language action film “OG,” starring Pawan Kalyan, has unveiled a global theatrical release date. The film is produced by D.V.V. Danayya for DVV Entertainment, whose previous film, S.S. Rajamouli blockbuster “RRR,” won an Oscar and a Golden Globe. The film, a gangster epic, has been shot across Mumbai and Hyderabad. It features Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and the cast also includes Prakash Raj, Priyanka Mojan, Arjun Das and Sriya Reddy. Sujeeth (“Saaho,” starring Prabhas) is the director. Music is by Thaman S. 

Kalyan is a member of the Konidela film family. Megastar Chiranjeevi is his brother and “RRR” star Ram Charan his nephew. Also a politician, Kalyan is the founder of the Jana Sena Party. Among his films, his recent hits include “Bro” (2023), “Bheemla Nayak” (2022) and “Vakeel Saab” (2021).

“OG” is due to release worldwide theatrically on Sept. 27 in the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

CELEBRITY BAKE OFF

U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has revealed the participants for the next edition of “The Great Celebrity Bake Off.” The show will raise funds for Stand Up To Cancer U.K., the joint fundraising campaign between Channel 4 and Cancer Research U.K. Over five episodes hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will welcome the 20 celebrities to the Bake Off tent, where they will try to impress Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills.

The participants are comedian and presenter Adam Hills, actor Danny Dyer, comedian and author David O’Doherty, TV and radio broadcaster Dermot O’Leary, comedian Fern Brady, TV presenter Gabby Logan, presenter and children’s author Greg James, actress Jodie Whittaker, actor Joe Locke, comedian Leigh Francis, Spice Girl, TV presenter and patron of Women’s Aid Mel B, broadcaster and satirist Munya Chawawa, TV presenter Oti Mabuse, singer and actror Paloma Faith, broadcaster and writer the Reverend Richard Coles, comedian Rhod Gilbert, broadcaster Sara Cox, broadcaster Spencer Matthews, comedian Suzi Ruffell, and presenter and documentary filmmaker Yinka Bokinni.
